Canavese Nebbiolo

Definition
Canavese Nebbiolo consists of at least the 85% of Nebbiolo grapes. This wine has a ruby or garnet red color, sometimes with orange reflections; a characteristic, delicate, and slightly floral scent; a dry and full-bodied, slightly tannic taste. Minimum alcohol content: 11%; minimum total acidity: 5 per mil; net dry extract: 20 per mil.

  • Production Area: It includes the morainic hills of Canavese area, in the Province of Turin, and some Municipalities of the Provinces of Biella and Vercelli. Among the Municipalities of Po Torinese Park, there are Mazzè and Villareggia.
  • Legislative Protection: Canavese wine has obtained the DOC label (Controlled Designation of Origin) with the Ministerial Decree 12th September 1996. This wine has the following code: B303 X 160 2 X X A 0 X.
